GST calculator — add or remove GST

To add GST, multiply the taxable value by the rate (e.g. ₹10,000 × 18% = ₹1,800 GST). To remove GST from an inclusive price, divide by (1 + rate): ₹11,800 ÷ 1.18 = ₹10,000. Intra-state supplies split GST equally into CGST and SGST; inter-state supplies charge IGST.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate 18% GST on ₹1,000?

₹1,000 × 18% = ₹180, so the total is ₹1,180 — ₹90 CGST + ₹90 SGST within a state, or ₹180 IGST across states.

How do I find the GST included in a price?

GST included = Inclusive price × Rate ÷ (100 + Rate). For ₹1,180 at 18%: 1,180 × 18 ÷ 118 = ₹180.
