BOQ calculator (bill of quantities)

A BOQ (bill of quantities) lists every work item with its unit, quantity and rate; amount = quantity × rate. The BOQ total plus GST is the contract value, and it becomes the base for RA bills, variation orders and project budgets.

How to prepare a BOQ

  • Break the work into measurable items following your contract's schedule (CPWD DSR, state SOR or client format).
  • Take quantities from drawings with clear units — cum, sqm, rmt, kg, nos.
  • Apply rates from rate analysis: material + labour + equipment + overhead + profit.
  • Keep every revision; variations are priced against the original BOQ rates.
